Santa María Chichí was born as one of the first haciendas in Yucatán, tied to the agricultural and cattle development of the region. Since then, this land began to be a setting for work, life and encounter.
An identity taking shape
Over the following centuries, Santa María Chichí grew and consolidated its presence in the region. Its architecture took shape and began to build the identity that endures to this day. In this period, the hacienda was also linked to prominent families, among them that of Captain General Antonio Figueroa y Silva, whose legacy is part of its history.
